    Science activities encourage curiosity, observation, and exploration, enabling children to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills from an early age.

  • TECHNOLOGY

    Technology exposure helps familiarize preschoolers with digital tools and basic coding concepts (sequencing), fostering digital literacy and computational thinking.

  • ENGINEERNIG

    Engineering activities stimulate creativity, spatial awareness, and logical reasoning as children engage in designing and building structures from their imagination.

  • ARTS

    Artistic activities promote creativity, imagination, and expression. Fine motor skills are enhanced and sensory exploration stimulates cognitive development.

  • MATHEMATICS

    Mathematics activities help prepare young children for future education by fostering the development of an understanding of numbers, patterns, and logical thinking.

Nurturing Hearts and Minds: Our Social-Emotional Curriculum

At the STEAM Academy, we believe that emotional intelligence is just as important as academic achievement. Our Personalized Social-Emotional Curriculum is designed to help students develop self-awareness, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills. Through activities that promote collaboration, mindfulness, and effective communication, we equip children with the tools they need to build positive relationships, manage emotions, and navigate challenges with confidence. Our holistic approach ensures that every child is supported in their journey to becoming a well-rounded, compassionate individual.

We Use Proven Approaches to Early Education

SPIRAL CURRICULUM

The study in which core ideas are repeatedly presented throughout the curriculum, but with deepening levels of difficulty. The spiral approach allows an earlier introduction of complicated ideas traditionally reserved for later stages of the learning process.

ENRICHED CURRICULUM

We offer an enriched preschool curriculum that goes above and beyond traditional learning. Our curriculum is carefully designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience for our young learners.

We teach these skills through the eight domains of the Kansas Early Learning Standards. These standards provide a developmental sequence of skills that make up a quality education.
